Beka Jimsheladze, the founder of the winery "Vellino" located in Sagarejo, states that the demand for organic products, including organic wine, is growing worldwide. According to him, this is the need to consume natural, clean products in an unhealthy environment.
"Velino" fully exports bioproducts to 13 countries - USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Norway, Germany and other countries. It is noted that the winery plans to export to South Korea by the end of the year.
"Organic wine is most in demand in Canada, as well as in the USA. In addition, a very high trend is also observed in the Japanese market, where organic wine is exported in small quantities at this stage," Beka Jimsheladze explains.
"Velino" appeared on the Georgian market in 2016 and offers seven types of organic wine. The winery produces 20,000 bottles of wine per year, although "Vellino" plans to double production.
