The incumbent Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze revealed that the candidate representing the Georgian Dream party in the upcoming mayoral race will be announced next week.
Responding to a relevant question from the media, Kaladze said: “You will find out in the coming days, next week, who the mayoral candidate will be.”
When asked, “A month ago, you were very assertive and determined to defeat the opposition, and now it seems you’re backing down,” Kaladze responded: “Do you want me to repeat that I will definitely be a candidate and that I will certainly defeat the opposition? I’m telling you—wait, you will find out everything very soon.”
