Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili declares, that the "Namakhvani HPP" project will be restored.
He announced this in the Parliament during the "Minister's Hour".
"We are working on "Namakhvani project". There is interest from investors, so the "Namakhvani" project will be restored," he explained.
The Minister of Economy also spoke about "Khudoni HPP".
"We will implement this project with maximum responsibility and minimal impact on nature, which is in Svaneti region. In terms of energy, we will have higher results. We hope to implement a better project. The studies will be completed soon. We have potential investors who are waiting for the results of the studies. These will be leading companies with a high international reputation, we will provide more information to the public in the near future.
A major Swiss company Stucky Ltd carries out project studies. We are waiting for the results. This will be a new project that will have less impact on the environment and will be able to generate more electricity," said Davitashvili.
