The works on Tsereteli Avenue are very active during the day and night, - said the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, while talking to journalists.
According to him, at the end of January, traffic will be restored in both directions.
"Works on Tsereteli Avenue are very active day and night. Asphalt has already been laid in the lower layers, the sidewalks are being arranged, the arches of the communication well are being raised and brought to the mark. After that, asphalt will be laid. As we promised the population, traffic will be restored in both directions at the end of January", Kaladze said.
When asked whether he rules out that investigative agencies were interested in the Tsereteli Avenue project, Kaladze answers:
"If someone is interested, we will answer, there is nothing to hide. Everything is public, anyone can get information. There are no problems and there is nothing to hide", Kaladze said.
According to him, "false information was spread, as if the State Security Service and financial police had entered the city hall".
As he explained, "This is a very big lie and misinformation."
