Imamura Akira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia called the Russia-Ukraine war a global challenge. He noted that with TV-Show Forbes Talks.
According to the ambassador, Asia cannot turn a blind eye to the events on the European front, because it also affects them.
As Imamura Akira notes, Russia's invasion of Ukraine prompted many world countries to cooperate, including Georgia and Japan.
"Russia's invasion of Ukraine pushed us all, including Georgia and Japan, to close cooperation. We must focus on maintaining the international legal order, because Russia has broken everything. We are also worried about the situation in Asia. We should not turn a blind eye to what is happening on the European front, as it is integral to the Asia-Pacific region to which Japan belongs.
Also, I think that Japan and Georgia can be good partners in strengthening the international order," said the Japanese ambassador to Georgia.
