Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze says Georgia is a transit hub for the rapid movement of goods, services, energy, and digital data, and that the government will do its maximum to strengthen this role. He made the remarks during a panel discussion at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum titled “Defining the Future and Managing Risks.”
Kobakhidze noted that despite global uncertainty and geopolitical challenges, the South Caucasus is gaining importance in the evolving international environment. He said Georgia aims to fully utilize emerging opportunities by reinforcing its connectivity role between Europe and Asia.
He stressed that Georgia has long proven itself as a reliable bridge between the two regions and is actively working to enhance its transit and connectivity potential. According to him, shifting global trade routes create new opportunities for the country to offer services to partners worldwide.
The prime minister also underlined the importance of diplomacy, saying Georgia has survived centuries in a complex geopolitical environment through diplomatic engagement. He added that the country has learned from past mistakes and continues to rely on pragmatism and diplomacy to maintain peace and stability.
