Multiple calls have been made by citizens to the hotlines of “112” and the Patrol Police Unified Service Center, reporting that they received vague messages via email allegedly from the head of the Patrol Police Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated.
According to the MIA, these messages were not sent by the Director of the Patrol Police Department, and the relevant service will investigate the matter.
“The Public Safety Command Center ‘112’ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Patrol Police Unified Service Center have received multiple phone calls from citizens.
The callers report having received ambiguous messages via email, supposedly from the head of the Patrol Police Department.
To inform the public, we clarify that these messages were not sent by the Director of the Patrol Police Department, and we urge the public not to be misled.
Furthermore, we announce that this matter will be examined by the appropriate service,” the statement reads.
