Armenian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Ani Badalyan provided comments to ‘Lurer’ news program of the Public Television regarding Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's remarks that Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet republics may join the Union State (of Russia and Belarus) if they wish.
"This issue was considered by the Armenian Prime Minister in January 2023," Badalyan said.
At a Jan. 10, 2023 press conference, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia had not received an official offer from Russia to join the Union State.
Lukashenko said a few days ago that if "anyone is worried about the issue of nuclear weapons, they should join the union of Russia and Belarus, and everyone will have nuclear weapons," ARKA reports.
