Twenty foreign nationals have been deported from the country through close collaboration between the Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and relevant agencies.

According to the Interior Ministry, as a result of concerted efforts over recent days, a total of twenty individuals from India, Russia, Pakistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Nigeria, and Thailand were expelled from Georgia.

“In accordance with current legislation, those deported have been barred from re-entering the country. The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is responsible for tackling illegal migration within the nation. Its duties include identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and overseeing their eviction,” the Ministry stated.
