As part of recent comprehensive enforcement measures, 26 foreign nationals were deported from Georgia in close coordination with the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and relevant government agencies.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the deported individuals hailed from India, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Russia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkiye, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, and Iraq—totalling 26 citizens. Under current legislation, those deported were also barred from re-entering Georgia.
“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the authority responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its responsibilities include identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and executing their deportation,” the Ministry’s statement reads.
