Minister: Conditions Are Now Set for Georgian Construction Companies to Compete in International Projects

რევაზ სოხაძე

“Our goal is to create equal conditions for Georgian and international companies,” said Revaz Sokhadze, Minister of Infrastructure, during an interview on Georgia’s Public Broadcaster.

Sokhadze highlighted the importance of increasing the participation of Georgian construction companies in international tenders. According to him, significant steps have already been taken to ensure that local firms can compete fairly with international companies and participate fully in major projects.

“It is important for us to have strong domestic construction companies. The strength of a country is often reflected in the capabilities of its local construction sector. We are actively working in this direction and believe that the conditions are now in place for Georgian companies to engage more widely in international projects,” the minister said.

Sokhadze emphasized that the ministry applies the same standards to all companies, whether local or foreign, with the key criteria being high-quality work and timely completion of projects. He added that meeting deadlines is particularly crucial for infrastructure projects.
