The National Food Agency has fined the dairy enterprise “Veli” LLC and suspended its production due to violations of hygiene standards and operating without proper agency recognition.
Inspectors from the Tbilisi Department found that the facility, located at Barbara Eristavi-Georgadze Street No. 17 (Business Code: 400152866), was producing and selling dairy products, including cottage cheese and sour cream, mainly to bakeries, without the required authorization.
The inspection also revealed critical hygiene violations. As a result, the agency fined the company and halted production until compliance is achieved and official recognition is granted.
The National Food Agency emphasized that it continues to monitor production and sales facilities and urged consumers to report any violations via the hotline 15-01, enabling timely corrective action.
