GT Motors, the official distributor of several global vehicle brands in Georgia, reports a significant 30% increase in new car sales during the first six months of 2025, reflecting growing consumer demand, especially in the premium and eco-friendly segments.

The company shared the data with BMG, noting that the rise in demand extends across both traditional and electric vehicles, with a powerful performance in luxury car sales.

“The first half of 2025 was quite successful for GT Motors. Demand for new cars has increased, and as a result, our overall sales have grown by approximately 30% compared to the same period last year,” said Tamuna Diasamidze, Head of Sales at BMW, MINI and Suzuki.

“A large portion of sales is driven by trade-in activity. Many of our existing customers are exchanging their current vehicles for models from our new showroom,” Diasamidze added.

The company also highlighted a notable increase in demand for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, reflecting both global trends and local interest in sustainable transport options.

While demand is growing, car prices have risen slightly, which GT Motors attributes to increased manufacturing costs worldwide.

“In our case, prices have increased by approximately 1.5% to 2%, particularly for hybrid and electric vehicles,” Diasamidze explained. “However, our manufacturing partners are offering us special pricing conditions, allowing us to provide competitive offers for our customers, which will continue to support strong sales.”

GT Motors, which represents premium brands such as Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW, and MINI in the Georgian market, says that with rising demand, an expanding portfolio of premium and electric models, and ongoing trade-in programs, GT Motors remains optimistic about maintaining sales momentum in the second half of 2025.
