In 2025, Georgia saw a decrease in the number of buildings put into operation, while the total area of these projects increased. According to data published today by Geostat on construction permits and completed buildings, 3,393 buildings with a combined area of 3.5 million m² were completed last year. Compared to 2024, the total floor area grew by 8.1%, while the number of completed buildings declined by 5.9%.

More than two-thirds of the completed buildings were concentrated in just four regions. Tbilisi accounted for 34.4% of the total, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 13%, Kakheti - 11.5%, and Kvemo Kartli - 8.8%.

The figures indicate that while fewer individual projects reached completion, developers focused on larger-scale constructions, contributing to an overall increase in total floor area.

This trend reflects a shift in the construction sector toward more expansive projects, especially in Georgia’s key urban and regional centers.
