“We are connected by shared values and we particularly commend the Hungarian government’s efforts to actively preserve its national identity,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the joint briefing with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
According to the PM, Georgia fights for the protection of the same values.
“I would also like to emphasize that we are connected by shared values. We particularly commend the Hungarian government’s efforts to actively preserve its national identity and values, including Christian traditions, and to protect individual identities through concrete policy measures. We undoubtedly share these same values and are committed to defending them.
As you know, our main foreign policy priority is integration into the European Union, and from this point of view, Hungary is of great importance. Throughout this period, Hungary has been an ardent supporter of Georgia on the path to European integration, and Hungary played a special role in Georgia's acquisition of candidate status. For this, I would like to personally thank Viktor Orbán, as well as all our Hungarian friends, the Hungarian government. Of course, you have a lot of hope for support in the future. Thanks to Viktor Orbán for reaffirming his support,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
