Businessman Tamaz Mchedlidze, founder of "Bioli Medical Wellness Resort" declares that the wellness villa project announced over two years ago has been stopped. According to him, investors liked the concept of the project at the exhibition held in Dubai, but they did not express their desire to invest in Georgia.
"When we were at the exhibition in Dubai, there were queues at our stand. When they saw the concept, everyone was surprised, but when they asked where the project was located and we mentioned Georgia, everyone refrained. We don't want to sell cheap. If we sell it, we should sell it to a rich person who will make us Georgians proud with his investment, but as we were told, if you join the European Union, then "your price" will increase, I am waiting for our price to go up", said Tamaz Mchedlidze.
According to him, the villa project is ready, in case of interest, the price for each villa amounts to USD 3.5 million and it will be handed over to the interested party for 50 years. The project is aimed at high-income tourists who follow a healthy lifestyle and are interested in real estate ownership in the country.
It should be noted that Tamaz Mchedlidze started organizing the wellness resort "Bioli" in 2005 in order to create a healthy life industry in the country, for which he has invested USD 43 million so far.
