In September 2024, Armenia recorded 19,494 real estate transactions, marking a 12.9% increase from September of the previous year but a 3.4% decrease from August 2024, according to the country's Statistical Committee.
Nearly one-third of all transactions (28.8%) took place in Yerevan, with 5,611 transactions recorded. Significant activity was also observed in the Kotayk region, with 3,263 transactions (16.7%). The lowest transaction volume was in the Vayots Dzor region, with 292 transactions.
The majority of operations involved property transfers - 7,152 transactions (36.7%), including sales, gifts, and exchanges. Inheritance transactions accounted for 17.7%, while initial registrations made up 16.9%.
By property type, land plots were the most popular, accounting for 7,702 transactions (39.5%). Apartments followed with 4,791 transactions (24.6%), and private houses ranked third with 4,325 transactions (22.2%).
