According to Geostat, a total of 40,464 crimes were registered in Georgia as of the third quarter of 2025.
Property crimes accounted for the largest share, with nearly 13,000 cases, followed by drug-related offenses at over 7,000 cases, and crimes against health, with almost 6,000 cases recorded.
Road traffic incidents remain a major concern, with 4,480 accidents reported in the first three quarters, 345 of which were fatal. While fatal traffic cases have slightly decreased compared to 444 deaths in 2024, authorities continue to focus on road safety measures.
The number of fires has also risen sharply. Geostat reports 11,722 fire incidents this year, already surpassing the total annual figures for 2023 and 2024. These fires have resulted in 41 deaths and the destruction of nearly 400 buildings.
The statistics highlight ongoing challenges in public safety, road management, and fire prevention, emphasizing the need for strengthened measures across these sectors.
