Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the new head of the Georgian government, Irakli Kobakhidze, on the impressive victory of the Georgian Dream party in the parliamentary elections held on October 26.
In his message, the Armenian Prime Minister emphasized that developing relations with Georgia is one of Armenia's key foreign policy priorities. Pashinyan expressed hope that under Kobakhidze’s leadership, bilateral cooperation will continue to grow and expand through the joint efforts of both countries.
Speaking about the strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia, Pashinyan highlighted its importance for addressing common regional challenges and strengthening the stability, security, and prosperity of the entire region.
According to the Georgian Central Election Commission, after processing data from 3,100 out of 3,111 polling stations, the ruling Georgian Dream party secured victory in the parliamentary elections with 54.08% of the votes.
Four main opposition blocs also passed the parliamentary threshold: the 'Coalition for Change' (10.92%), 'United National Movement' (10.12%), 'Strong Georgia' (8.72%), and 'For Georgia' (7.76%). Other parties did not meet the five percent threshold required for parliamentary representation.
