Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze presented Tinatin Rukhadze, new Minister and Shalva Gogoladze, First Deputy Minister to the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Sports today.
The Head of Government of Georgia once again thanked former Minister Thea Tsulukiani for her service and wished the new Minister every success. Irakli Kobakhidze noted that after the elections, the Ministry of Culture and Sports is planned to be divided, after which Tinatin Rukhadze will lead the Ministry of Culture, while Shalva Gogoladze will head the Ministry of Sports.
"Tinatin Rukhadze will be the Minister of Culture. When Parliament convenes, we will introduce an amendment to the law, and the Ministry of Sports will be established separately, to be led by Shalva Gogoladze, who will be the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports until then. We have significant achievements in sports, and therefore, the development of sports is a priority for us. One expression of this is that a separate ministry will be created to handle sports-related matters. Both of them- as Minister and First Deputy Minister-are professionals, and I am confident that their work will be very successful," stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
