The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is participating in the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku. According to the Government Administration, UN Secretary General António Guterres and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev are hosting the leaders participating in the conference.
"The Prime Minister of Georgia attended the opening session of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit and the opening of the high-level meeting of heads of states and governments.
The leaders of the participating states of the summit traditionally took a joint photo.
Within the framework of the conference, Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver a speech at the COP29 leaders' summit, as well as panel discussions, which will be held in a round table format on various topics.
The Head of Government of Georgia is participating in COP29 with a delegation, which includes First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani," the information says.
