In March 2026, the number of salary earners in Georgia increased to 1,006,550, according to the PMC Research Center’s Employment Tracker. This represents a 0.6% monthly and 4.5% annual increase.
Data shows a decline in low-income earners and growth at the top of the wage distribution.
- 112,733 people (11.2%) earned up to GEL 600 per month, down by 0.3 percentage points compared to February 2026 and by 2.4 percentage points year-on-year.
- 187,000 people (19%) earned between GEL 600 and GEL 1,200.
- 348,000 people (35%) earned between GEL 1,200 and GEL 2,400, an increase of 0.6 percentage points monthly and 5.6 percentage points annually.
- 358,000 employees (36%) earned above GEL 2,400.
- Meanwhile, 33,216 people (3%) earned GEL 9,600 or more per month. This group increased by 0.2 percentage points compared to February and by 0.5 percentage points year-on-year.
