Quadrum Global Georgia plans to open a new shopping center, Urban Mall, in Kutaisi by the end of the year. According to the company’s Marketing Director, Teiko Lominadze, the project will be the group’s first regional development.
Urban Mall will operate in a retail park format and bring together brands from several categories, including home improvement and food hypermarkets, fashion and footwear stores, as well as sports and electronics retailers.
The project represents an investment of $25 million and will have 22,000 square meters of total leasable space. According to Lominadze, the idea was driven by demand from brands already operating in Tbilisi to expand into the regions. The center is expected to create more than 600 jobs.
The company also said the project will include a large-format Domino hypermarket. Quadrum Global’s portfolio also includes East Point, Domino and Tbilisi Gardens.
