Parliament has already passed a law that significantly tightens gambling regulations and bans nearly 1 million people from gambling. The new law also introduces the concept of "gambling addict". Citizens who are granted the status of gambling addicts will be banned from playing in Georgia.
According to the law, the Revenue Service is responsible for compiling the list of gambling addicts from March 1, 2022.
As of the law, the list of gambling addicts includes data about the person:
• If the individual submits an application to the Revenue Service for putting his / her data in the list of gambling addicts;
• Based on the judge's order, in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code of Georgia.
Citizens' family members can apply to the court.
Data on the person shall be included in the list of gambling addicts for a period of 5 years.
