At the Armenian government meeting on May 23, a project decision on the annual report of the state property management program for 2023 was approved.
The document was presented by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan. According to the report, revenues from the management of state property amounted to 15.4 billion drams (about $40 million), which is 72% more compared to the previous year.
Minister Sanosyan stated that the report covers all activities of the State Property Management Committee, including privatization, liquidation, transactions, disposals, leases, antenna installations, and other services. The document also includes data on the fulfillment of investment obligations.
Out of the received funds, 2.2 billion drams were allocated to community budgets, aiding them in implementing additional programs. The main sources of revenue were property disposals (10.6 billion drams - over $24 million), share privatizations (3.8 billion drams - about $10 million), leases (673 million drams - over $1.5 million), and antenna installations (287 million drams - over $700,000).
Additionally, the minister reported that deals worth 34 billion drams were concluded, which will be realized over the next five years. In 2023, 38 real estate properties were sold, generating a significant economic impact. Future plans include the launch of an online auction system to streamline auction processes and transactions involving state property.
