The National Bank of Georgia published a report. According to the document, 790.5 thousand visitors visited Georgia in July. The income received from tourism hit a record high this year.
In particular, the country received USD 476.1 million in income from international visitors in July. In total, the country generated more than USD 1.6 billion dollars from tourism in 7 months of this year. The income received in July is almost USD 271 million higher compared to the same period of the previous year.
The income received last month exceeds the pre-pandemic period as well. In July 2019, the country received USD 395.4 million from tourism less by USD 80.7 million.
