Trade between the US and Armenia has increased from $96 million in 2020 to $321 million in 2023. This was announced by USAID Administrator Samantha Power at a press conference in Yerevan on July 10.
"We continue to support Armenia's development and are transitioning from aid to trade. I recently met with the Prime Minister, and increasing trade between the US and Armenia is a key priority for him. We are doing everything possible to capitalize on this progress," she said.
Earlier, BMG reported that the US would assist Armenia in developing cooperation with Amazon Web Services to implement cloud infrastructure and build capacity in Armenia. For this purpose, USAID, as Power mentioned, will provide new funding of $5 million.
