Officials explained the need for simplified procurement by emphasizing the urgency of repair work ahead of the new academic year. “Electronic tender procedures are time-consuming. To avoid delays and meet the high state and public interest, repairs must proceed without hindrance and on schedule,” the administration said.
Local self-government elections are scheduled for October 4, 2025. Kakha Kaladze will run again as the “Georgian Dream” mayoral candidate in Tbilisi. Meanwhile, a significant portion of the opposition has announced plans to boycott the elections.
