Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, along with Infrastructure Minister Rezo Sokhadze and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiai, recently met with representatives from the Association of Infrastructure Builders. During the meeting, Sokhadze highlighted that several issues raised by builders in previous meetings were resolved positively, although he did not specify the exact issues.
Paata Trapaidze, Managing Partner of Caucasus Road Project, one of the sector's representatives, discussed the resolution of issues related to the 55th decree. He also mentioned that an agreement was reached to establish a reform group. According to Trapaidze, these regular meetings play an important role in fostering progress in the industry.
Sokhadze noted that the Ministry of Infrastructure has ambitious plans for large-scale projects and stressed the importance of ensuring that Georgian companies are ready to implement these projects. "It’s crucial that local companies meet the requirements for these projects," he added.
Levan Zhorzholiai, Head of the Government Administration, mentioned that future plans for the sector's improvement have been set. "Our goal is to ensure that we receive high-quality products at market prices, and we will continue to coordinate with businesses to achieve this," he said.
