Shortage Of Liquefied Gas Will Be Eliminated Soon - Nika Khoperia

თხევადი გაზი

The price of liquefied gas is still at its peak, and there is still a shortage at gas stations. The head of the "Liquid Gas Association" Nika Khoperia says that the reason is the tourist season and the ongoing hostilities in the region, which makes it difficult to import liquid gas from Russia. Khoperia predicts the elimination of the deficit soon.

"There are several reasons for the deficit. First, this is the holiday season, which will end soon, and of course, this crisis will also be removed. There are other factors related to the war. Many oil refineries in Russia are either shut down by accident or bombed, but the processes related to the shortage will be resolved with the end of the holiday season," says Nika Khoperia, head of "Liquid Gas Association".

When asked how much the demand for liquefied gas increased during the summer season, the association said that if last year the increase was 30%, this year the number has increased by another 15%.

"Demand has increased by 40-45% this year, because even more vacationers came from our neighboring countries, such as Armenia and Russia, who are consumers of liquefied gas," says Nika Khoperia.
