Significant Increase in Humanitarian Aid to Armenia in 2024

According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the country received a record volume of humanitarian aid in the first half of 2024. During this period, 942.5 tons of goods valued at 27.1 billion drams (approximately $68.3 million) were delivered to the republic.

These figures significantly surpass those of the previous year. In the first half of 2023, Armenia received 543.7 tons of humanitarian goods worth 3.2 billion drams ($8.2 million).

The leading contributors of aid were the United States, Germany, and Switzerland. American aid amounted to $41.1 million, accounting for 60.1% of the total. Germany provided $7.9 million (11.6%), and Switzerland $3.2 million (4.7%).

The largest share of humanitarian supplies consisted of plastic and rubber products—410.8 tons worth $380,200. Additionally, significant portions included textile goods (134.3 tons worth $1.9 million) and various vehicles (88.2 tons worth $5.7 million).
