Silk Road Group will begin implementing a $20 million data center project in April, the company’s founder, businessman Giorgi Ramishvili, announced at the international Capital Markets Conference. The exact project timeline has not yet been specified.
Ramishvili stated that the Triple A+ certified data center, which has been in preparation for two years, will have a capacity of 2 MW and is being developed in partnership with Orange Georgia. He emphasized that such a certified data center has not been built in Georgia before.
In addition to the data center, Silk Road Group is developing projects in real estate, energy, and telecommunications, financed through its $400 million Eurobond program on the London Stock Exchange. The company is actively expanding 5G digital infrastructure, the Batumi Sea Tower project, and planning major energy projects, including a 200 MW facility, with further announcements expected soon.
Regarding future bond issuances, Ramishvili explained that the company operates on a five-year cycle, using current funds first and planning to issue new bonds in approximately three years, depending on market dynamics.
