Prospects of cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) in gas transportation, expansion of storage infrastructure, and other directions were discussed during the meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and GOGC CEO George Chikovani today, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are successfully developing in all areas of the economy, including the energy sector. The importance of jointly implemented large-scale energy and transport projects was discussed.
The meeting discussed the multifaceted activities of SOCAR, one of the largest investors in Georgia, in this country were discussed, and it was stated that operations such as trade and transportation of oil and petrochemical products, as well as supply and distribution of natural gas, were successfully carried out in this direction.
