GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declares, that the optimization of the staff of state-owned enterprises operating in the railway and energy sectors has brought the country savings of 52.5 million GEL this year, and this process continues.
"Optimization has been carried out in several state-owned enterprises and the leadership has changed. Optimization was carried out especially in the part of state-owned enterprises operating in the railway and energy sectors," Kobakhidze said.
According to him, as a result of the optimization, 36 million GEL will be saved in Georgian Railways, and 16.5 million GEL in state-owned enterprises operating in the energy sector.
“This process will already allow Georgian Railways to save more than 36 million GEL. As for the energy sector, state-owned enterprises, including Electrosystem, SakRusEnergo, Gas Transportation Company and others, there will also be savings of at least 16.5 million GEL,” Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
He also noted that the optimization process will not stop with these areas and will continue in other state-owned enterprises. “As a result of this process, the state has received approximately 52.5 million GEL of additional resources, which will contribute to the development and economic growth of the country,” Kobakhidze said.
It was also noted that there is also potential for large-scale optimization in LLCs and LEPLs, and the annual savings as a result of optimization may exceed 100 million GEL.
“This was an absolutely necessary step, and it is proceeding at a very fast pace,” he added.
