Georgia’s new State Security Service (SSSG) head Tamaz Borashvili will have two deputies - Mariam Tabatadze and Giorgi Bakhuashvili.
Bakhuashvili has been appointed First Deputy Head of the SSSG. The position was previously held by Lasha Magradze, who has since been appointed Deputy Justice Minister.
As for Gela Geladze’s other deputy, Aleksandre Maisuradze, no appointment order regarding his position under the new SSSG leadership has been published so far.
BMG has contacted the State Security Service to clarify whether Maisuradze will remain in the agency. The article will be updated if the agency provides a response.
