TBC Bank plans to move into its new headquarters near Lisi Lake later this year. Spread across 63,000 sq.m, the project aims to become not only a workplace but one of the region’s most significant architectural and technology hubs.
The building was designed by the renowned Dutch firm UNStudio, known for major global projects such as Booking.com’s Amsterdam headquarters and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. According to chief architect Ben van Berkel, the visual concept draws directly from Shatili’s medieval towers, blending traditional Georgian elements with modern design.
TBC CEO Goga Tkhelidze told BMGtv that the headquarters embodies the bank’s core values -innovation, boldness, and customer focus. The building will not function as a closed corporate space; instead, it will include public areas open to all visitors.
The new headquarters will house:
- a training center
- exhibition and restaurant spaces
- an innovation lab set to become a national tech hub
Tkhelidze emphasized that employees were directly involved in the design process to ensure a highly productive environment for TBC’s 8,500-person team. The building meets the highest sustainability standards and integrates advanced smart technologies.
“I believe this space will become a financial and technological landmark for the region,” Tkhelidze said.
