Kakha Kaladze announced that Tbilisi City Hall has increased one-time financial assistance to GEL 10,000 for citizens aged 100 and older.
He remarked that in 2004, 57 elderly individuals received financial assistance of GEL 1,000, among whom 23 turned 100 and 34 were 101 or older.
"City Hall always awarded citizens aged 100 and older with 1000 GEL. We have decided that the award will increase 10-fold and will be 10 thousand GEL for those who will turn 100 and older. Last year, 57 people received one one-time financial assistance. I would like to wish these people, first of all, good health and a long life. To receive the award, a citizen or his/her representatives must apply to the Tbilisi City Hall’s Health and Social Service with an application. The application must be accompanied by an identity card of a citizen who has reached the age of 100 and an information card issued by the Civil Registry confirming continuous registration in Tbilisi for the past year. Those elderly people who have already benefited from the aforementioned program before 2025 will no longer have to apply,” said Kakha Kaladze.
