Rehabilitation works are starting in Vera Park, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced this on Wednesday at the meeting of the municipal government.
According to him, Vera Park has the status of a Cultural Heritage Monument and it is not planned to be fundamentally transformed or changed.
"After the rehabilitation of Vera Park, Tbilisi will have a modern recreational and entertainment space equipped with modern engineering systems, which will be adapted to any person of different interests and ages," Kakha Kaladze said.
According to the mayor of Tbilisi, a drainage system will be added to the park, and unsystematic wiring will be hidden in the ground.
"As part of the rehabilitation works, two playgrounds for children will be set up. Also, there will be a dog walking area, outdoor lighting system, walking paths, fountain, sports fields," said Kakha Kaladze.
The mentioned rehabilitation works will be completed by the end of 2025.
