Tbilisi City Hall Launches GEL 50 MLN Tender for Maintenance of 226 Buses

Tbilisi Transport Company, a subsidiary of the Tbilisi City Hall, has announced a GEL 50 million tender for the technical maintenance of 226 BMC 12-meter buses. The contract covers the servicing of BMC PROCITY 12 M CNG buses over the period of 2026–2028.

According to the tender documentation, the services will apply to M3-category compressed natural gas buses operating from depots No. 2 and No. 4 in Tbilisi. The winning company will be responsible for full maintenance from the signing of the contract until December 31, 2028.

The technical scope includes both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Scheduled servicing is required every 24,000 kilometers and covers engine oil, filters, braking systems, transmission, air conditioning, and other key components. Unscheduled repairs will be carried out in case of breakdowns or technical faults.

Companies wishing to participate must demonstrate relevant experience in servicing M3-category buses since 2023, maintain a service center in Tbilisi capable of handling at least five buses simultaneously, and hold ISO 9001 certification. The deadline for submitting bids is July 20.
