Tbilisi City Hall will announce a separate tender to purchase 10 tram vehicles alongside the construction of the Didi Digomi–Didube tram line, Mayor Kakha Kaladze said after the infrastructure contract was awarded.

The mayor said the procurement process will run in parallel with construction, though the estimated value and technical specifications of the tender have not yet been disclosed.

The tram line and depot will be built by Turkish company EmreRay Enerji İnşaat, which won the contract with a GEL 287.6 million bid, well below the project's estimated GEL 416.6 million budget. The 7.5-kilometer route will connect Didi Digomi with Didube metro station and include 11 stops.

Under the project, each tram must have a capacity for at least 300 passengers. The design-build contract will be completed within 36 months, including 24 months of construction.
