Between 2020 and 2023, 25,156 depositors received compensation for deposits made before June 10, 1993, in the Republican Bank of the Savings Bank of the USSR of the Armenian SSR.
More than 5 billion drams (about $13 million) were allocated from the state budget for these purposes.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, 1.5 billion drams (about $4 million) are planned to be allocated in 2024 for compensation payments to approximately 8,000 people.
It should be reminded that the right to receive compensation for deposits made in the Republican Bank of the Armenian SSR of the Savings Bank of the USSR before June 10, 1993, is granted to persons born before June 30, 1941.
