Online trade in Georgia shows steady growth. According to Geostat, in the last 12 months, 30% of customers purchased or ordered goods through the Internet. In the last 1 year, the share of online trade has increased by 6.2 percentage points

The values of the mentioned indicator differ depending on the type of settlement.
In urban settlements, 35.1% of internet customers aged 15 and older bought goods or services over the internet, and in rural settlements - 20.7%.
In addition, online shopping attracts more women.
The values of the indicator are different according to age groups: in the population aged 15-29 - 40.9 percent, in the population aged 30-59 - 30.9 percent, and in the population aged 60 and older - 13.0 percent.
According to the NBG, in 7 months of 2023, 7.4 billion GEL transactions were carried out over the internet.
