On September 16, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, during which issues of bilateral cooperation and Armenia’s relations with the European Union were discussed.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, Pashinyan stressed the importance of further developing relations with France, particularly in the fields of security and economy. "Our strategy is to strengthen and enhance our sovereignty, independence, and statehood. We highly value France's support on this path," said the Armenian Prime Minister.
For his part, Séjourné confirmed France’s readiness to promote the development of Armenia’s relations with the EU. "France stands by Armenia and will continue to support the Armenian people. We are making every effort to strengthen relations between our nations," noted the French Minister.
During the meeting, the parties discussed various aspects of Armenian-French relations and Armenia's cooperation with the EU. Special attention was given to the importance of initiating the Visa Liberalization Dialogue and the decision of the European Peace Facility to provide financial support to Armenia.
