On Wednesday, March 27, Gnel Sanosyan, the minister of territorial administration and Infrastructures of Armenia, announced that last year the country saw the construction and major repairs of 803 kilometers of roads, with 556 kilometers reconstructed with state financing.
According to Sanosyan, the restoration work has been completed on 501 kilometers of roads, with an additional 55 kilometers awaiting completion.
"At the moment, the first and second layers have been laid, and only the final layer needs to be applied," Sanosyan said during a session of the parliamentary committee on territorial administration, local self-government, agriculture, and environmental protection.
In addition, the minister mentioned the asphalt work carried out on 248 kilometers of roads under a subsidy program.
BMG reminds that according to the adopted program, the Armenian government has planned to annually repair about 500 kilometers of roads.
