According to data published by the Statistical Committee, in March of the current year, the volume of construction in Armenia reached 30.6382 billion drams ($770 million). This is 13.1% higher compared to the same period last year.
Furthermore, the figures for the first three months of 2024 show even more significant numbers. The total volume of construction in January-March amounted to 72.1954 billion drams ($1.85 billion), which is 11.7% higher than the previous year's figures.
Analyzing the data in more detail, it can be seen that a significant portion of the construction work carried out in March 2024 is related to real estate, which accounts for 60% of the total volume. Additionally, important sectors include transportation (8.2%), electricity, gas supply, steam and air conditioning supply (6.4%), and manufacturing (4.8%).
It is worth noting that organizations financing construction have a noticeable impact during the period under review. They invested 15.4033 billion drams ($38 million) in this sector, which is nonetheless 4.8% lower than in the same period last year.
