In January-March of this year, the volume of cargo transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline decreased by 5.5% and amounted to 6.9 million tons, - according to Azerbaijan media.
At the same time, the volume of oil transported from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline decreased to 1.153 million tons in January-March, while in the same period of 2024 it amounted to 1.4 million tons.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, operated by BP, transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunshel fields of Azerbaijan via Georgia to Turkey.
It is worth noting that the total volume of oil transported from Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 9 million tons, of which, as the numbers show, 76.2% comes from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
