"This blackmail has been going on for three years now, it started with the beginning of the war in Ukraine,” GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the discussion of sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili in the British House of Commons.
According to the Head of Government, this is not interesting to anyone and is simply an unfortunate reality.
“First there were de facto sanctions, and now threats and blackmail with formal sanctions. This isn’t interesting to anyone. It’s simply an unfortunate reality that should be emphasized.
This blackmail began three years ago with the start of the war in Ukraine. You know that they had specific demands toward us, including demands toward Bidzina Ivanishvili. The blackmail was connected to all of this, but it was ineffective, because neither Bidzina Ivanishvili nor the government as a whole would, under any circumstances, even under conditions of blackmail, take any step that would directly mean the destruction of the country,” Kobakhidze declared.
