Georgian commercial banks submitted financial report for January-February 2024 to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). According to the document, commercial banks earned a profit of GEL 460 million, 20% or GEL 77 million more compared to the same period of the previous year.
88% of the net profit accounts for two major system banks.
According to the data submitted to the National Bank, Bank of Georgi earned the highest profit of GEL 238 million in this year, followed by TBC Bank with a profit of GEL 170 million. The third place is occupied by Liberty Bank with a profit of GEL 16 million.
In addition, three commercial banks are at a loss instead of a profit.
