Starting in 2026, Georgia’s top political officials will receive higher salaries following the adoption of the 2026 budget, which also increases the pay of 117,000 public sector employees by 10%, bringing total civil service salaries to 3.4 billion GEL.

Salaries in Georgia are calculated based on the civil service basic salary multiplied by a coefficient corresponding to the position. The basic salary rises from 1,460 GEL per month in 2025 to 1,600 GEL in 2026. For top officials, this results in:

  • President & Prime Minister: 192,000 GEL annually (+16,800 GEL)
  • Minister: 163,200 GEL (+14,280 GEL)
  • Deputy Minister: 153,600 GEL (+13,440 GEL)

Other parliamentary positions will also see increases based on their respective coefficients, with first deputy chairpersons and committee heads receiving between 144,000 and 176,640 GEL annually.

This adjustment ensures that salaries of all officials rise proportionally with the basic civil service pay, reflecting both legislative and executive roles.
