Georgia-EU trade turnover increased by 9.2% amounting to USD 4.5 billion for 11M2024.
The largest share of trade with the EU comes from imports, which exceed exports by almost 8 times. According to Geostat, EU countries account for 8.5% of Georgia's total exports and 26.5% of imports.
Exports to the EU
According to Geostat, exports to the EU market in January-November amounted to USD 510.4 million, which was a 24% annual decrease.
TOP-5 largest goods exported from Georgia to the EU in 11 months:
1. Hazelnuts and other nuts - USD 55.4 million;
2. Copper ores and concentrates - USD 54.8 million;
3. Precious metal ores and concentrates - USD 39.8 million;
4. Natural grape wines - USD 30.8 million;
5. Oil and oil products - USD 30.6 million.
Imports from the EU
Imports from the EU amounted to USD 4 billion, which was 15.6% more than in the same period last year.
TOP-5 goods imported from the EU in January-November:
1. Cars - USD 706.4 million;
2. Oil and petroleum products - USD 402.1 million;
3. Packaged medical products - USD 270.2 million;
4. Trucks - USD 98.2 million;
5. Telephones, including telephones for cellular networks or other wireless networks - USD 75.4 million.
